AirFare Monitoring
Air Fare difference is one of the largest factors in passenger's decision to fly from an alternate airport. Air Fare monitoring is useful to track individual trends in fares both at your airport as well as nearby peer airports that could affect leakage. While airlines set prices and revenue management, many times the fares and revenue management are being performed by automated models with limited human intervention. Due to that automation, mistakes and errors can occur, leading to significant changes to fares. Aviation Analytics monitors fares for both filed fares in Computer Reservation Systems (CRS) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) as well as available selling fares. Monitoring both fares is critical since problems can arise both in native filed fares as well as Revenue Management algorithms.
